Florian Schafschetzy is a registered architect and a member of IG Architektur, born in 1979. He studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and completed his graduate studies under the tutelage of Wolf D. Prix. He has worked as project architect and design architect for Franz Sam, Vienna. He also worked for Coop Himmelb(l)au, Delugan & Meissl AA and Wolfgang Tschapeller. He was awarded a merit prize for Experimental Tendencies in 2004 and works he collaborated on were exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennial 2006. Florian was selected for the MAK Los Angeles Schindler residency 2011. With Eva, he founded the architectural practice eyeTRY in 2010. The works of eyeTry have been internationally exhibited, including at MoMa New York City. In 2018, eyeTry co-founded the ‘Verein für zeitgenössische Architektur’, a platform to support young architecture.
Eva Sommeregger is a registered architect, born in 1981. She holds a Masters Degree in Architectural Design from the Bartlett UCL London and the TU Vienna and a PhD from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She has worked on projects in Abu Dhabi, London and Vienna, and has taken part in a TU design/built project in Johannesburg that was issued the Austrian Building Award 2006. Her work has been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennial 2008. Eva was Schütte-Lihotzky Research Fellow 2010 and Architect in Residence at the MAK in Los Angeles 2011. Currently she is a senior scientist at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Her PhD research looked at conceptual models of space and ways in which these models help in making thought travel from one medium to another.
